The Schar School of Policy and Government provides undergraduate and graduate students the skills, knowledge, and analytic abilities to be leaders and managers in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors.
About the Position:
The Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Administration in Public and Nonprofit Organizations, a foundational course in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.
This graduate-level course introduces the field of Public Administration and its intellectual foundations. Designed as a broad survey course, it emphasizes breadth over depth, with many topics explored in greater detail in other required or elective courses. In addition to introducing students to key literature and building a foundational knowledge base, the course develops essential professional skills aligned with MPA program goals, including analytic, writing, verbal, group, and presentation skills.
Adjunct faculty are hired on a part-time, semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon program needs and student demand.
