About the Department:
The College of Visual and Performing Arts is dedicated to advancing the study, creation, performance, and exhibition of the arts, acting on a strong belief in their transformative influence on individuals and societies. About the Position:
This position will report to the Education Coordinator at the Hylton Performing Arts Center and support the Hylton Center’s Education Initiative.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include coordinating field trip attendance with school systems including communicating with administrators and teachers, creating and distributing post-event surveys, representing the Hylton Center and the Education Initiative at off-site community/school events, helping design and implement pre-performance engagement activities including ordering craft supplies, monitoring volunteers assisting with engagement activities on site, assisting with Artist-in-Residence engagement activities which may include interaction with artists and patrons. Other additional duties may include artist research, program data tracking, and report generation. Administrative needs vary throughout the year, so other related duties may be assigned as needed.
