About the Position:
George Mason University’s Student Centers invites applications for the Operations Assistant position. The primary purpose of this position is to provide daily operational and event support throughout the Student Centers. Operational support includes preparing venues/areas for events (set-up/removal of tables/chairs/staging, etc.), performing general building maintenance (basic repairs, dry/wet mopping, changing lightbulbs, etc.) and providing customer service to all patrons of these spaces.
This position works closely with the Event Operation Crew Leaders to ensure proper support is available during all operating hours. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Assistant will assist in the daily operations of university events regarding venue setup, custodial duties, light maintenance, and assist the Student Centers’ patrons with all aspects of support.
