About the Department:

The mission of the Center for Evidence-Based Behavioral Health (CEBBH) is to increase access to evidence-based behavioral health services in community settings. This is accomplished through behavioral health workforce training and research.

About the Position:

The Program Manager supports the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program. The responsibilities of this position is focused on program management, evaluation and reporting activities, and administration of training sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Director and the Assistant Director of the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program on activities to support training events, such as communication with internal and external partner organizations, management of training sites, and data collection and analysis for evaluation and reporting;
  • Works with Mason’s Center for Evidence-Based Behavioral Health staff to coordinate evidenced-based education and training courses in cognitive behavioral therapy, suicide prevention, substance use disorders, and other topics;
  • Develops training aids, including training handbooks, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works;
  • Coordinates administrative tasks necessary to deliver and document training programs;
  • Works with project team to collect research and evaluation data from training participants, site supervisors, and faculty and staff;
  • Responsible for ensuring databases for training participants, site supervisors, faculty, and staff are developed and maintained;
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SPSS, STATA, or other statistical software and assists with qualitative data analysis for research and evaluation;
  • Assists in the evaluation of training and educational programs and utilizes evaluation data to recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods for short-term training and educational programs supported by the Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program; and
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience with and knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, STATA, or other) and data analysis procedures;
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and RedCap/Qualtrics;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; and
  • Strong organization and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field;
  • Experience with education and training programs targeted to healthcare professionals (psychologists, nurses, social workers and/or others);
  • Grants management experience; and
  • Demonstrated knowledge in healthcare delivery and/or mental health fields.
